Show Notes

Once upon a time it was considered respectful to keep silent on matters of religion and politics.

Because once upon a time in this country, while we didn't all agree on political matters, we were all on the same page regarding our religion.

Basically.

It was just a matter of denomination, not salvation.

Like it or not, once upon a time, we were a Christian nation, favored by God.

There's no point arguing this because the proof is irrefutable. It's in the fruit.

We've had some dark times but we've been blessed.

However,  in June 2007, President Barak Obama told CBS, "Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation -- at least, not just. We are also a Jewish nation, a Muslim nation, a Buddhist nation, and a Hindu nation, and a nation of nonbelievers." In April 2009, Obama stated at a press conference in Turkey that we Americans "do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, or a Muslim nation, but rather, a nation of citizens who are, uh, bound by a set of values."

He spoke on behalf of our country, declaring for believers from sea to shining sea.

Only, he didn't declare for me, and maybe, he didn't declare for you either.

I say we ARE a nation of CHRISTIANS.

If the silent majority would speak up, the obnoxiously loud minority wouldn't have such an easy time being heard.

Maybe we'd have a better time hearing if we did a better job showing up.

And showing off--what a real follower of Jesus looks like.

A real follower of Jesus isn't afraid to speak on His behalf. A real follower knows the WORD.

Today, please be encouraged by a beautiful woman and event stylist who not only knows style, she knows TRUTH and isn't afraid to declare it.

Please, won't you join us? There's never been a better time to talk religion and politics because you can't have one without the other.

Religion and politics are definitely in style.

For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. ~ 2 Chronicles 16:9
