Show Notes

Light is where you’ll find truth; truth is where you’ll find color.

Color is where you’ll find God.

 Color is God.

 It’s his love for you.

Light is what makes color happen, obviously.

Color is a product of light and God IS light, so color testifies!

To the everlasting goodness of a good God.

One who wants us to fill us with COLOR: The hues of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control. Color is fruit!

And even more.  We have a good, colorful God.

I like to think of our stories as colorful confetti. When we toss ours up toward heaven, they fall to earth I celebration of what our Creator is doing here.

The word “Stories” is the word these days. Stories are a thing. Because we are realizing we all have them to share. Publicly.

More and more humans are realizing they need not be published or on air to go public with stories once confined to small groups and intimate gatherings.

Stories are meant to go big, not home.

Technology fosters this. Social media isn’t always a bad thing. God has given us all platforms.

As Christ gathers his church in preparation of his return, it has become more important than ever to recognize his encouragement in encouraging one another.

He is as active now as ever before. Intimately, intricately involved of every detail of our lives. Don’t hold back relating how he has worked in your life by listening to the lies of an enemy who wants us to shut up.

Our guest today is someone who will not shut up.  She is all about love and truth, gentleness and kindess in truth.  And sister, does she have some stories to share! Wait 'til you hear the miracles she talks about in this podcast!

WOW! is all I can say.

The night after Barb and I talked here, I got into bed and received the "Verse of the Day" message below on my phone from my Bible app. It was so God! I took a screen shot and sent it to Barb. Once you listen to this episode, you will understand.

"But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." ~ Isaiah 64:8

Barbara Trost is a nurse, Jesus Lover, Bible study leader, pastor’s wife, mother, grandmother, and someone I call a dear friend. In a world of cowardice, Barb isn’t afraid to speak truth, or to post it. She is the chaplain for Missouri’s DO chapter of PEO…the first women’s sorority/ministry under the Methodist church, founded in the late 1800s, with the objective being the education of women, providing scholarship for women. She is one of my role models and I am so very honored to have her on COLOR SPEAK today. Barb and her husband, Pastor Ed, make the world a more beautiful place. I have never seen either of them without a smile on their faces. Oh, if we could all be this way!
